Hola! Amigos!
Pretty sweet week. Turns out our investigator wasn’t really a non-member lol. I thought she was fake at first but someone joked about her being fake and my teacher got really mad at us and said she was real… like he seemed really upset so we believed him. Elder Ahlstrom literally cried, I didn’t care too much lol. I kinda still figured she was fake …
We went to the temple and it was so great. We have a TRC, which is another fake investigator, We are teaching 2 lessons each day completely in Spanish to 3 different people. It’s crazy busy over here.
There was an awesome devotional by the MTC Music Director, Bro Egget, He talked about a bunch of the hymns in the hymn book and the stories behind them. The coolest story was about W.W. Phelps who wrote many of the hymns Towards the end of Joseph Smith’s life, he betrayed the Prophet. This resulted in Joseph Smith being falsely accused and put in prison. It ruined a lot of lives. Not many months later, Joseph got a letter from Phelps asking for forgiveness. Phelps confessed his lies and plead with Joseph to allow him to return to the church. Even though his actions put Joseph through heck, Joseph was quick to invite him back and the two became great friends once again. I loved that story..it reminds me of the parable of the Prodigal Son and is a reminder that no matter what you do or how far you think you’ve strayed from the light, you will always be able to return to the side of Jesus and Heavenly Father! All you gotta do is ask. !!!!!!!
We also heard from President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, President Nelson and it was awesome. He talked of the importance of being missionaries. It was so spiritual.
Ayyyyyy, so me and my comp walked out of our investigator’s room after our best lesson yet and it was snowing! El Milagro de Navidad (Miracle of Christmas). It was so sick.
I got second place for saying the Missionary Purpose in Spanish fastest, so I won a massive bag of candy. Im getting a lot better at soccer which is good…. Hopefully I will be able to play somewhat well against the ninos in Mexico. I play nearly every day, but 2 days ago I rolled my ankle really bad and used crutches for a day and a half. It still hurts a bunch but i think it’ll be chill.
Email me and ask me some questions or just lemme know what’s up back home at:
