Amazing Baptisms, So Thankful, and I Love the Scriptures

April 16 – 23, 2018

Antonin Pliska and his son, Nathan, were baptized this last Saturday, along with Anai and Brandon, and we had about 50 people there! It was an amazing experience to lower Antonin into the water, and see him come out smiling and completely new. I love the guy sooooo much and I have seen such a change in his life. After the baptism, I went to my journal. I looked up the day that I met Antonin and his family. Concerning him I wrote, “It was a complete miracle that we found him! As we began to teach him, I had the strongest feeling that he was going to get baptized. I know from the deepest part of my soul that Antonin is going to enter the waters of baptism and be changed forever.” It was amazing to read that journal entry that I had written 2 months ago. I am extremely grateful for the Spirit and for repentance. I have not only seen the effects in my own life, but in the lives of this amazing family that I will always remember. After reading my journal and writing about the day and baptism, I got on my knees and thanked Heavenly Father for all that he had blessed me with and Familia Pliska with. I thanked him for everything. It was an amazing experience and I felt as Ammon in the Book of Mormon did when he exclaimed: “I rejoiced in my God.”

After the Baptism. Ooops, I forgot to remind them to bring some dry clothes.

But when I baptized him, the man weighs like 90kilos, hahaha, I thought I wouldn’t be able to pull him out of the water. But when he came out of the water, there was a loud thunder strike and everyone looked around at each other. Also, he didn’t bring an extra shirt so he just wore his suit coat without a white shirt like a huge v-neck. It was awesome! I love the guy so much!

I have been reading in Alma and also have been studying about power and authority. It’s something that really interests me because I want to be able to teach with power and authority more. It’s awesome to read all the examples of people who taught with power and how they obtained it, usually through prayer fasting and studying the scriptures. It’s my favorite topic to study right now, and I’ve found about 40ish scriptures about it so far.

50 people came to the baptism of Antonin!

I love the work here mom its so amazing to see what God can do through us. I have learned so much and want to learn so much more. I LOVE THE SCRIPTURES and I spend every free moment in the scriptures (which isn’t helping my guitar skills at all, hahah, but its worth it).
