Antonin from Czech Republic and 9 Investigators at Church

Hey Dad!!!! I had an awesome weekend! Actually, things were a little slow these last few weeks until Friday. Friday and Sunday were AMAZING and a sure blessing from God. These last few weeks, we have been going to lots of appointments but hadn’t had much success to show from it. We had also been praying literally the whole time for a family to teach who wanted the Gospel without finding one.

Anabel y Sara!

Friday, we were walking to the spot where we usually take a bus to get to our next appointment when we heard someone from inside a car say “Elderes?” We turned around and walked to the car. The man had blue eyes  and brown hair, so I assumed he just wanted to talk in English with somebody. Turns out that his dad is from Czech Republic and he was born here in Mexico. His name is Antonin. So he tells us that he went to the Salt Lake City temple about a year or 2 ago. He was very interested in learning
more, so the visitor center missionaries told him to find the missionaries in Contreras. Well he tried for about a year and told us that he was actually thinking that it wasn’t meant to be only 5 minutes before finding us. He has a family of 5 and his son that is 12 years old is really interested as well. We taught them immediately after our other appointment. They came to church on Sunday. Antonin loved it and even volunteered to come to a service activity with the ward, to help someone that he doesn’t even know. He already has a lot of knowledge about the church and has even been reading the Book of Mormon for the past year. He and his family are a direct blessing for us and he told us that we are the answer to his prayers! The Lord knows us perfectly!!!!

Torta!!! sooo good.
Hangin’ with the puppies.

We also had 9 investigators in sacrament meeting yesterday, one of which is a friend of Ivan, an investigator who FINALLY came to church for the first time. Both of them want to be baptized! And Ivan changed his day off work to Sunday so now he can come each Sunday. Karina came and she has
already committed to baptism but needs to get married. I am so grateful, the Lord has blessed us so much, but he blessed us after weeks of hard work and obedience. I know the Lord works through trials
and I am grateful for it.

It was amazing, Dad. I have felt the blessings of hard work and I’m never gonna stop now, haha. I know for a fact tat God listens to our prayers! I love being here, I love these people and I love the food 🙂

To my friends: If you aren’t reading the book of Mormon, please read it and pray to know if it’s true (p.s.: I already know the answer). Your lives will be significantly better if you begin to read the book of  Mormon each day.

Love you guys.
